Origin: Mauritius and Réunio
Adaptation: Arboreal
Humidity: 65-85%
Temperatures: 20-28° Celsius
Encloser: 50X50X50 cm, bigger is even better as they can make yellow webs of 150 cm.               and good ventilation is recommended, they can be kept in mesh enclosures, but do not like draft.
Light/heating: light is not needed, but don’t keep them in total darkness.
Water: light misting the tank every other day is sufficient.
Life span: 1-2 years (females usely live longer then males)
Growth rate: fast (male 1-2 months, females 4 months to adult)
Adult size: males 8-10/25-30 mm, females 100mm leg span
Adult color: brown to grey, red-ish legs and females can display a yellow on there abdomen. Toxicity: effective on insects but seems to have no effect on humans.
