Origin:Southern China from Gansu to southern Yunnan and Hainan I. to Hubei and Zhejiang; to Thailand (Chiang Mai and Kalasin provinces south to Nakhon Si Thammarat on the peninsula)and Taninthary Division, peninsular Myanmar; Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia; introduced into Guam
Adaptation: terrestrial, semi aquatic.
